Its no secret that many individuals struggle in how they deal with their mental
health. Im no different. It has affected me, my interactions with other people, and
the quality of work that I do in school more than I had first realized it. Back then, I
didnt have any idea of how mental health can affect our lives. I honestly thought
that whenever other people would say that theyre depressed, anxious, and theyre
feeling indifferent, I would think that theyre just saying these as excuses. But when
I began to experience these things myself, I then realized of how wrong I was. I was
ignorant of other peoples feelings, and I was oblivious to the fact that these things
do happen. Taking care of my mental health has been, and still is, a challenge but
acknowledging its importance is the first step towards gaining a better
understanding of its means and how it can affect us.
