I am writing to you in support of Senate Bill 451 - Creation of a State Debt - Montgomery
County - Good Hope Local Park.

The County estimates that the Good Hope Local Park and adjacent Good Hope Recreation
Center serve approximately 10,000 mostly low-income residents in the underserved East County.
This past year, the Montgomery County Council unanimously voted to provide $10,745,000 to
build a multipurpose recreation and performing arts center, which will include a modular gym,
weight room and outdoor amphitheater. The renovation of the local park will complement this
project by providing residents with a one-stop-shop for all indoor and outdoor entertainment.

I respectfully urge you to pass SB 451, sponsored by Senator Craig Zucker. As always, thank
you for your attention to this matter and for your longtime support of Montgomery County.
