 The Ozark-Dale County Public Library welcomes
all, whether you are an adult, teenager, or kid; the Library is
always in need of good volunteers to help out!
 Dothan Therapy Dogs
Join us every other month for fun with Dothan Therapy Dogs in the
Childrens Section of the Library during the story time programs at 10:30 and
4:30. They will be back on Thursday, March 16, 2017.
Therapy Dogs International is a volunteer organization dedicated to
regulating, testing and registration of therapy dogs and their volunteer handlers
for the purpose of visiting nursing homes, hospitals, other institutions and
wherever else therapy dogs are needed.

Notes from the Treehouse,

March has arrived; this is Spring Break month. March 2nd brings us Dr. Seuss
~ Read Across America Day! Festival of Owls is on March 9th. Therapy Dogs
come for their regular visit on the 16th of March, the day before St. Patricks Day.
Dont miss your chance to snuggle up and read to your doggie friends. We will
make a chip & dip cookbook on March 23rd to celebrate National Chip & Dip
Day.
During Spring Break, we will enjoy Two-by-Two Petting Zoo on March
28th; the Master Gardeners will be planting seeds you can take home on March
29th; we will have a fun surprise project on March 30th; the Gem & Mineral
Society in Dothan is bringing the Traveling Rock Box on March 31st; Popcorn & A
Movie will round out Spring Break on Saturday, April 1st. All Spring Break
programs will begin at 2:00pm.
Dont forget to join us on Saturdays from 1pm-4pm for Pokmon. We are
continuing our Great Artists Series with painting like Van Gogh on March 4th and
learning to paint like Da Vinci on March 18th.
We will have our regular Popcorn & A Movie on Saturday, March 18th, we
will watch Moana.
If you would like to volunteer for the Summer Reading Program, please
contact Ms Ruth at 774-5480. These hours can be used for any organization that
requires volunteer hours.
