Dear Parents and Guardians,
My name is Tennisha Harrison and I will be working as a student teacher for the next twelve
weeks in your childs classroom. Given that I will be in the classroom with your child almost
every day and will be seeing you at parent teacher conferences, I thought I would tell you a little
about myself.

I am working towards an English certification teaching children in grades seven to twelve. This
is my final quarter of my training as a teacher. Professionally, Ive worked as a substitute teacher
for students with and without special needs for grades k-12 for over two and a half years. And
Ive been a member of the Army National Guard for this past nine years. I'm originally from
New York City, but I have been in Pennsylvania for approximately four years. Outside of
working with children some of my interests include painting, hiking and reading.

I will be working with the students in your childs class in various capacities both with small and
large groups for language arts activities. I will gradually increase my responsibilities with the
students over the course of the quarter and conduct seven lead teaching weeks. I'm excited to
work with your child. Please do not hesitate to call or email me if you have any questions,
comments, or concerns. I welcome the opportunity to get to know you along with your child.

Estimados Padres y Guardianes,

Mi nombre es Tennisha Harrison y estar trabajando como maestro estudiantil durante las
prximas doce semanas en la escuela de su hijo. Dado que estar en el escuela con su hijo casi
todos los das y lo vere en conferencias de padres de familia, pens que le contara un poco sobre
m.

Estoy trabajando hacia una certificacin de ingls que ensea a los nios en los grados siete a
doce. Este es mi ltimo cuarto de mi entrenamiento como maestro. Profesionalmente, he
trabajado como maestro suplente para estudiantes con y sin necesidades especiales para los
grados k-12 durante ms de dos aos y medio. Y he sido miembro de la Guardia Nacional del
Ejrcito durante los ltimos nueve aos. Soy originalmente de la ciudad de Nueva York, pero he
estado en Pennsylvania por aproximadamente cuatro aos. Fuera de trabajar con nios algunos
de mis intereses incluyen pintura, senderismo y lectura.

Estar trabajando con los estudiantes en la clase de su hijo en varias capacidades, tanto con
grupos pequeos como grandes para actividades de artes del lenguaje. Aumentar gradualmente
mis responsabilidades con los estudiantes durante el transcurso del trimestre y llevar a cabo siete
