Please see the attached guidelines for each portion of the contest. 4-H Performing Arts Contest (Al Area VII 4-H members) Musical Acts (1-4 performers, 3-5 minutes) Non-Musical Acts (1-4 performers, 3-5 minutes) Group Acts (5 or more performers, 5-8 minutes) Demonstration (Madison County 4-H members only) This contest allows the 4-H member to show the audience step-by-step procedures how to do something related to any project Informative 4-H Presentation (Madison County 4-H members only) This contest allows the 4-H member to present atopic of their choice related to a 4-H event, project, or activity to the audience. Professional Persuasive Presentation (Madison County 4-H members only) Contestants will be required to research a public issue in their community, collect data showing how ths issue is or could affect their community, formulate a plan to address this issue, and presenti in a professional manner using electronic digital media such as PowerPoint, Prezi, et. Public Speaking (Madison County 4-H members only) This contest allows the 4-H member to give their prepared speech to an audience from a stage or stage-tke setting. To enter any ofthe contests, complete the respective registration forms and return them to the Madison County Extension Office by 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 13, 2017. ‘These are excellent opportunities for any 4-H member. 4-H is more than about projects. A very important part of the 4-H experience is leadership development.
