Plan of Analysis - Define Your Preferences
Plan of Analysis - Define Your Preferences
CAREERS I WISH TO EXPLORE THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH MY RIASEC AND MBTI CODES
STEP 2: EVALUATION
My RIASEC code - CSI (Conventional, Social, Investigative) - confirmed some of the things I already knew I
preferred and helped me realize others. I have known that I am detail-oriented, organized, and that I enjoy
clerical work. I also knew that I like to be cooperative, supportive, and helpful whenever possible. However,
the RIASEC code told me that I tend to be more analytical and a thinker.
My MBTI code I/ESFJ (Introvert / Extravert, Sensing, Feeling, Judging) helped me to understand that it is
possible to have both introverted and extroverted tendencies; the direction I lean toward varies depending
on the situation I am in. I enjoy being around people and having fun, but I also appreciate quiet and solitude.
Also, giving a name to and categorizing some of the characteristic I already knew I had, helped me
understand better my preferences and what makes me great.
Employers get the best of both worlds with me because I can be introverted or extraverted depending on the
situation. Knowing further which type of environment my potential supervisor/boss prefers would help me
to tailor my personality in the interview and afterwards in the office setting.
