Lunch Tastes Better with a Buddy!

Every week in our building 75 students from the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades and Upper CI (Cognitive Impaired) classroom have the opportunity to
be lunch buddies. Students from general education classrooms and Cl classrooms develop wonderful, authentic relationships by spending time
together over their lunch hours. Through this awesome program, general education students are able to be leaders and help out at lunchtime,
and students from our CI classroom are able share their interests and talents.
Last week on Thursday, all of these students had an opportunity to go out and celebrate the success of this program with a bowling outing.
Each child wore their lunch buddy t-shirt with pride! (5th grader Greg VanderStelt designed the shirt). It was a great tangible experience to live
out our school theme of "Better Together"
*A special thank you to Mrs. Childress (3rd-5th CI teacher) and Mrs. Keskitalo (School Social worker) and our general education
teachers for their planning and support of this program.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Park M-STEP Testing Schedule
Here is our annual state testing schedule for the M-STEP this spring. Please make every effort to ensure that your student is at
school on these dates by avoiding scheduling doctors appointments and vacations on the following dates:
5th Grade - April 11,12,3 18, 19,20 3rd Grade - May 2-5 4th Grade - May 9,10, 11, 16, 18
Thank you for your partnership with us! This can often be a time where students' anxieties are risen and because of this our staff
is intentionally keeping this testing time "low-key" and we are continually sharing with students that we are proud of them for
putting forth their best personal effort each day. Please pass along our praise to our 3rd-5th grade students!
