RAVENS QUEST

MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY

Our mission is to enrich the lives of both animals and people. To provide guidance, safety, and health
care to animals in need. A chance for our dogs to experience unconditional love, companionship,
care, and the search of a new forever home.

The Quests Vision:

Ravens Quest hopes to help create communities where all lives are valued and respected. We envision
achieving zero tolerance for ending the lives of savable pets.
The vision of the Quest is to achieve the mission through:
1. Providing humane care and treatment for animals needing protection;
2. Reuniting lost animals with their human companions;
3. Seeking safe and suitable homes for homeless animals;
4. Working toward reducing the rate of overpopulation of animals within the
Community;
5. Employing euthanization only when animals are deemed in adaptable due
To illness, injury, temperament, or other special conditions; and
6. Maintaining the highest possible standards as prescribed by the American
Humane Society and the Humane Society of the United States.

Our Philosophy:
Wikipedia defines a no-kill shelter as an animal shelter where animals are only euthanized if they are
to sick to be treated or too aggressive to be suitable for adoption. No-kill shelters reject euthanasia as a
means of population control. This definition is 100% consistent with Ravens Quest policies and
practices.
However, we believe that it is important to support quality animal organizations throughout our state as
well as our country. For this reason we believe that the use of potentially derogatory terms such as
kill or no-kill is neither constructive for animal care agencies or informative for the public and can
actually be damaging to the humane animal movement as a whole. We therefore resist being labeled in
this way.
Each animal is an individual and given individual consideration, therefore we have no time limit on
how long we have and care for each animal.
Ravens Quest: Serving Fulton County and beyond

I say and beyond because our compassion has no boundaries. We will go above and beyond the
limits to work with other facilities when it comes to our fury friends.

SERVICES INCLUDE

Adoption Placement- each year Ravens Quest will find permanent, loving homes for numerous dogs.
The Quest will provide comprehensive adoption services to the community, including sterilization of
all adoptable animals.

Medical Intervention- At risk and homeless animals require expert attention. The Quest provides
medical intervention, socialization, and compassionate care for all shelter animals, giving them a
second chance at life.

Municipal Animal Control- The Quest will provide animal control services to all of Fulton County,
including stray animal pick-up, reuniting lost pets with loved ones, and public health related
quarantines. The Quest continues to work with municipalities to care for these vulnerable animals.

Community Outreach- Humane education presentations, a low cost spay/neuter program for low
income families, behavioral training, cremation services and promotion of dog license sales, are some
of the services we offer. (complete list under Services tab)

As Founders of Ravens Quest and members of the community, the volunteers of Ravens Quest are
asking for your aid, approval, and pledges to serve the community through community events,
education, training, added employment, volunteering, news letters, and so much more.

Please, these animals need our help.

MEMORIAL TREE

A Memorial Tree is a long lasting opportunity to honor or remember a loved one. At the same time, it
improves the beauty and quality of the Quests grounds. Ravens Quest has chosen Red Maple trees
(female) because of their beauty, and they are allergy friendly. We are hoping to plant 20 trees to start.
We would also like to plant several fruit trees in one area. These will eventually provide fresh fruit for
everyone to enjoy. Our goal is to plant 2 of each fruit tree listed.

The cost for a Memorial Tree with an accompanying Memorial Bronze Marker, surrounded by concrete
for stability is $500.00
Memorial Tree with no marker is $250.00
Donors will be notified once a tree has been planted and made aware of its location.
