Extracurricular Activities
Music Therapy Club
Description: We learned about different techniques used in music therapy, and we
volunteered at facilities around the Dayton area.
Time: 1 hour/week

Marching Band
Description: The marching band at my high school, which performs at football games and
contests, including the BOA Super Regional in San Antonio and the UIL Texas State
Marching Contest.

Honor Band competition.

Description: A group that raises money and loans it to people across the world who

service and at a retirement home during the Christmas season.

Description: 86:12 worked with various groups to assist Vacation Bible Schools (VBSs)
and perform manual labor in the area.

group that hands out food to the homeless.

The Christmas Store
Description: The Christmas Store is run by my church and donates presents to people
from South Dallas who cant afford any for their families. I wrapped presents and carried
bags of presents for the customers.

Work Experience
Student Coordinator of Recital and Concert Programs
Description: I am training to take over this job in the fall of 2017. I make the programs
for Friday recitals, student recitals, faculty recitals, and concerts, as well as some of the
guest recitals. I also update the department calendars and complete office tasks.
Time: 2 hours/week

Musical Arts Learning Lab (MALL)
Description: I oversee the MALL for a few hours a week. When I work the first shift of
the day, I turn on the computers; when I am the last, I turn them off. I have been assigned
a computer, which I clean once a week.

SWE Librarian
Description: I got the SWE folders ready at the beginning of each semester and copied
music as needed throughout the year. I set up chairs and stand before rehearsal and took
them down afterwards.

Description: I was the assistant for the lawyers and paralegals at a law firm. I would
make phone calls, send emails, fill out forms, and organize medical records when given
these assignments by my coworkers.

Description: I work for some of my neighbors while they are out of town. I either check
on a dog at its house, take care of the dog at my house, or stay overnight with the dog at
