I have taken 6 AP Classes (Human Geography, English Language and Composition, US
History, English Literature and Composition, Computer Science, US Government and
Politics).
I have received the awards for being an outstanding student in Spanish 2 (9th Grade),
Honors English (10th Grade), Acting 2 (10th Grade), Acting 3 (11th Grade), Astronomy (11th
Grade), and Trigonometry and Probability and Statistics (11th Grade).

Experience
Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow - Teacher Cadet
I interned with a fourth grade class at New Castle Elementary School last spring
(through my Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow Class), and I am currently in my second
year of internship with the same teacher.
Using skills acquired through this class, I have also tutored the Spanish-speaking
mother of a close friend as she learns English.
I led a three-session theatre workshop at Brandon Middle School.

Theatre - VPAA Theatre Strand

I have been a member of the VPAA Theatre Strand since my freshman year!
I am the current president of the International Thespian Society.
I created and performed a piece on equity in schools for the Regional Equity
Conference for district and school leaders in Region Two Virginia (Summer 2016).
I led a session on screenwriting during a Middle School Theatre Workshop at Kellam
High School (2015), and I led a session on Movement in Theatre in December 2016.
I am currently touring with the Academy Childrens Theatre Company, performing in a
show that I helped create.
I created and performed a piece with my classmates at a suicide prevention event
known as Shatter the Silence (2016).
I represented VPAA Theatre during Academies Night (2016).
Involvement in shows: The Firecracker Incident (as Rachel), This Wall Between Us (a
piece written by senior theatre strand students; as Sophie), The Great Snake Debate (a
piece written by the senior theatre strand students; as Hailey), Macbeth (as a witch), and
Arthur Millers All My Sons (as Kate).
 I am currently co-directing a student-written one act play.
I participated in an internship with the Little Theatre of Norfolk during my sophomore
and senior years.

Club Involvement
I am a member of the Final Four Freshmen Orientation Program Executive Council.
I have been a mentor during my sophomore and junior years for this program.
I attended Salem High Schools Leadership Workshop during my sophomore and junior
years.
I am a member of the National Honor Society (2016 of junior year-present).
I am a member of the Spanish Honor Society (2015-present).
