Hydrometers are fragile glass instruments that can easily break! Be really careful when placing your hydrometer on a hard surface, and also that it doesnt roll off onto the floor.
2. You must take readings BEFORE and AFTER
fermentation Hydrometer readings comparatively test the amount of sugar in a solution before and after fermenta- tion....this changes over the course of fermentation as sugar is converted into alcohol.
3. Get a Graduated Cylinder or Test Jar
You must have a graduated cylinder or test jar to draw off some of your batch for testing....we recom- mend a 250ml test jar for use with our Hydrometer as it is 12 in length. If you bought the combo set then you have nothing to worry about!
4. Use THE color coding
Our Hydrometers are color coded for your convinience so that you can easily tell when your beer or wine is finished fermenting. Use it!
5. Spead the love
Your friends deserve to know how awesome your Hydrometer is, and how utterly superior it is to their puny standard Hydrometers. Let them know about it....as smugly as possible.
