Fluid Link Data Sheet
Fluid Link is the cost-effective solution for ship-to-shore and shore-to-ship transfer of gaseous
and liquid fluids, especially useful for areas without access to deep-water. The implementation
doesn't require excessive construction works on the shoreline and/or dredging or any
modification of existing ships. Fluid Link is bringing marine fluid transfer operation to
locations previously deemed impossible due to technical, environmental or financial
constraints.

In a nutshell, the unit is modified barge with the set of loading arms or hose reels or hose towers
on end towards the oil/gas tanker and the equal amount of hose reels on shore side. Once
tanker is securely moored by the conventional multi-buoy system, barge approach tanker and
connect tanker manifold with hoses by tanker's hose handling crane. upon successful
connection, the barge is slightly moved away from the tanker and transfer program can start.
To shore tanks system is connected by floating hoses or floating pipes. Generally, we do not
recommend the use of submerged piping and hoses due to environmental and budgetary
considerations.
Barge can be of self-propelled type for easy movements from idle position to connect position
to working position and back or of non-propelled type, where for movement can be used either
support vessel, which is already used for tanker berthing, or barge can use it's own anchoring
system.
In a case of long lines between barge and shore storage facility, the barge can accommodate
booster station and other necessary systems, like additional heating of the cargo or BOG-
liquefaction unit.
Fluid Link can be used for transfer of clean and black liquid and gaseous fluids.
Fluid Link is designed to suit the wide variety of the ships by implementing latest OCIMF,
SIGTTO and Classification Society rules, as well as EN1473/1474 and national standards, as
applicable.
