a whopping 13 new members in the fall of 2016.
Help Support Us 4 The newly initiated (16) brothers are sure to be a
great addition to our brotherhood.
Philanthropy
Striving to continue traditions of our organization, we continued our support of ECHO
food shelf by hosting the 4th Annual Spooktacular event. Spooktacular is hosted at the
chapter house, which is covered in Halloween decorations. There is a $5 admission fee at
the door, and we ask everyone to dress up in their greatest costume. We raised $800 to
donate to ECHO. Additionally, we held our annual bag drop to raise food donations,
cleaned our Adopt-A-Highway, and worked toward our goal of 20 hours of community
service per member.
Chair System
New to the chapter, we have developed a chair system so that each member takes on a
responsibility to uphold their duty within the fraternity operations. We are excited for each
active member to take on a role bettering our organization.
Fraternity Education
It is with great pleasure we share that Lambda Delta Zeta received the Lewis A. Plourd
Award for the 2nd year! This award recognizes chapters whose fraternity education
programs truly exemplify excellence.
Academics
School always comes first and we have the honor of sharing that Lambda Delta Zeta
continues to hold the highest GPA among all fraternities at MSU. For six semesters in a
row we had the highest GPA amongst fraternities on campus. This past semester we came
in second.

Website In the Making

Brother Rob Kueny, Lambda Delta 573, decided to take on the task of creating, and
hopefully maintaining, a functional website. It will include a home tab that shows
various pictures of our chapter. An about us page explaining who we are, and what
we do. There is also a Meet the High Zeta and how to contact us. The website will
be posted to the Alumni/Actives page, and the link will be in future newsletters to
come, as soon as it is ready.

Our 2017 President Caleb Ebeling

Caleb is currently a junior pursuing a major in finance and a minor in
economics. He aspires to work in the banking industry as a financial advisor or
wealth manager. Previously, Caleb has held the offices of High Gamma
(Secretary) and High Tau (Treasurer), thats a lot of positions! When not studying

semester, we initiated 13 new brothers, which has been the largest initiate class
that I have experienced, and every single one of them had the courage to take on
roles within the fraternity right off the bat. Caleb loves being a part of
developing new members and finds it fulfilling because, because you are

Meet High Delta Brian Kelly

Our new High Delta is Brian Kelly. Brian was initiated his first semester freshman
year, in the fall of 2016. He is really passionate about baseball and this brotherhood.
There is a passion for recruitment in him that I have never seen before, and it is really
energizing to hear him talk! When asked why he has this passion he said, The reason
behind my passion for recruitment is because this fraternity took a shot on me, and I feel
like I owe it to this fraternity, of great brotherhood, to give back to them and bring in
young gentlemen that have and lived our seven core values. Out of all of the seven
core values, his favorite is respect. This is a value that isnt a one way street. When you
respect others they'll most likely respect you back, Brian said, then it's a lot easier to
get along with people and a calming presence is brought with you.
Brians major is Sports Management, but eventually he wants to be a Sports
Broadcaster. If he brings that kind of energy to broadcasting, I would watch just about
any sport!

Meet High Phi Mitchell Condon

Ever since his initiation in Fall of 2013, he has been very interested in our Ritual and
the positing of High Phi in general. Our ritual exemplification has pushed me to
become a better leader and a better man within this chapter, says Mitch.
With that passion he has had the opportunity to serve on the International Ritual Team Our ritual
in 2015, and the Ritual and Emblems Committee at IHQ working directly with the exemplification has

was initiated in Fall of 2013, and will be graduating with a degree in Law Enforcement

His favorite quote is from Bob Marley; The greatness of a man is not in how much

positively, because it describes how he wants to be in Law Enforcement.
