Ihave been Kaylei's Mentor ‘Teacher here at Jackson High School for the last two years. Kaylei has done a remarkable job in a long term substitute position for a teacher on maternity leave. In her first year Kaylei taught Algebra I and Algebra II, and this year she teaches Algebra I and Geometry. From her first day in the classroom, Kaylei has demonstrated confidence, maturity, and an ability to communicate with her students. She has handled all of the preparation and organization necessary for teaching six classes a day, and always with enthusiasm. Kaylei has excellent written and verbal communication skills with both parents and teachers. She has worked very closely with others in our Mathematics Department, as part of Teacher Based Teams for Algebra I and Geometry. This year Kaylei and I are both teaching Geometry, and I have enjoyed collaborating with her throughout the year. She has been very involved in the RTI process here at Jackson, and is able to differentiate both instruction and evaluation for her students, In the year and a half that Kaylei Clevidence has been here at Jackson High School she has earned the respect of her fellow teachers, administrators, and her students. It has been an absolute pleasure to be her mentor. I recommend Kaylei without reservation.
