Technical Drawings

The following examples describe how each technical drawing is created in basic terms. Following
the lessons that have already been taught, this worksheet is used to refresh your memory:

One Point Perspective:


All lines are drawn to one vanishing point on a horizon as shown below.

Two Point Perspective:


All lines are drawn to two vanishing points generally on the left and right sides on the horizon as
shown below.
Orthogonal Drawing:
An orthogonal drawing is often used to create dimensions of a particular design/product. A top
view, front view and side view is often drawn to show each angle as shown below.
Planometric & Isometric Drawings:
Planometric drawings use a 45 degree set square to mark lines that create a design whilst

Isometric drawings use a 30 degree set square, as shown below.
