    Jamil Ahmed joined as a lecturer on 1st july 1998. Prior to this, he served as W.B.C.S. (Executive)
    1996 batch. His area of interest is Medieval Indian History, Sufism & Early Islamic History. The
    languages known by him are Bengali, English, Urdu & Arabic (reading only). He was awarded the
    Sultan-ul-Hind award by the Raza Academy, Kolkata in 2013. He has presented papers in various
    national and international seminars. He is attached with the Department of Islamic History and
    Culture, University of Calcutta as guest faculty.

    Experience & Area of Interest: Having 16 years experience both administrative and Teaching.
