This experiment analyzes a high-tension distribution network to determine which conductors are overloaded. The conductors with loading over 100% will be replaced with higher rated conductors. The network is then reanalyzed to see if this reduces losses. Results showed conductors one and two needed replacing, which significantly reduced losses after being changed, proving overloaded conductors increase losses.

In this experiment, we are given a HT distribution network. First of all,
we will do analysis of this network as we do before. After that we will analyze the percentage loading of different conductors. The conductor whose rating will be above 100% will be replaced by another conductor of higher rating. After that, we will check the percentage loadings again and hence will try to compensate the losses in HT distribution network. Here we enter the according to the network given to us. Since we are studying without load growth. Results: Results show that conductor one and two must be replaced with conductors of higher rating in order to compensate the losses/ Now we will follow a procedure in which we will change the conductors that are overloaded. Selecting modify segment allows to change the entries that were provided before.
In order to change a particular value, we put the cursor on it,
press enter and change the entries according to our requirement. New Results: These results clearly show that after changing the conductors, we have reduced the losses significantly. It proves that an overloaded conductor should be immediately replaced as it is the cause of increase in losses.
