Subject: Admission and Scholarship opportunity at Korea Advanced Institute of Scienos and
‘Technology (KAIST) in Global IT Technology Programme.
‘The undersigned forwards herewith @ set of dosurnents of a scholarship offer for master’s
degree and PhD programme in Global IT technology Programme at Korea Advanced Institute of
Science and Technology (KAIST) for the Fall 2015 semester. KAIST is one of the top ranked
‘education institutes in Korea and is highly regarded both locally and intemationally. Global IT
Technology Programme (ITTP) at KAIST is an IT-customized international scholarship education
programme sponsored by the Ministry of ICT, Science and Future Planning of the Republic of
Korea.
‘The ITTP Programme offers customized masters and PhD programmes for government
officials, professors/teachers in national universities, researchers or experts in national institutes in
TT fields, with a bachelor or master’s degree. Applicants have to have valid certificate of proof of
English proficiency (minimum score of TOEIC 720/ TOEFL (IBT) 83/ IELTS 6.5). This fall the
institute is offering 16 scholarships for master’s degree students and 5 scholarships for PhD students
from overseas.
Selected students will receive following financial support as part oftheir scholarship:
= Tuition fees (Master's Degree: up to 2 years/ Doctorate: up to 3 years)
~ Airfare (One-way/Economy class/ Reimbursement)
= Living cost (1,500,000 Korean won/ per month. At present 1,100 Korean won= 1
USS approx)
= Initial moving and re-location expenses and medical insurance.
Interested applicants should apply online for admission at the website of KAIST
(http:/admission.kaist.ac.kr) once the online application process is open.-An applicant will have to
chose ‘Global Information & Telecommunication technology Program’ as major while submitting
their application
‘The required documents for application are:
1, KAIST Online Application Form (printable after completion of online application);
2. Filled in KAIST ITTP Application Form;
3,2 letters of recommendation- in English, issued by the head of organization/institution
(Original);
4, Copies of diplomas from all previously attended college-level schools;
5, Copies of transcripts from all previously attended college-level schools (original
diplomas and transcripts are subject to submission upon admission permission);
6. English Proficiency Test Reports (TOEFL, TOEIC or IELTS)
7, Curriculum
8. Identity Document I— Applicant's 1D card
9. Identity Document I - ID card of parents of the applicant
Important dates and deadlines concerning submission of the scholarship app!

~ On-line application: March 31st,2015 ~ April 21st,2015
~ Document submission by post: By April 28th, 2015 (for KAIST Main Admin.)
+ Arrival check of submitted documents: April 13th, 2015 ~ April 28th, 2015= Application review: May 11th, 2015 ~ June 22nd, 2015
Admission notification: 5:00p.m, June 26th, 2015
