features as the original Connect Rome venue.
“The great thing about the bar was the location

the mall is still very unique.”
Roberts said, although the venue is changing, the mes-
sage and overall atmosphere of the church will remain
the same.
“When we were renovating I said ‘hey, let’s design
this place like a night club’,” Roberts said. “So, in a way,
it still has some of the same appeal as the bar without
actually being in a bar.”
Roberts also said that the coffee shop is thriving in
