I get into bed after taking off the coat of makeup I had on from a long day of work.

I live alone, but a man's voice says, "Goodnight, honey."

The first sentence is normal and expresses the individual is exhausted from what

she does for work. The gender is inferred because she says "taking off the coat of

makeup" she had on for work. Her occupation is unknown, but she could either be

working in a professional field since she has to wear makeup. The story peaks

when she says that she lives alone, but then a man's voice says, "Goodnight,

honey," which the voice could be a potential stalker or creeper that is in love with

her. Because a man that is just trying to abuse her would not try to be sweet and

call her "honey" instead the man would say something provocative and disgusting.

I had a dream last night that I pushed my wife down the stairs and broke her neck

resulting in her death. My wife has been dead for four years because she fell down

the stairs and broke her neck.

Instantly, the first sentence is intensified because it describes how a husband has

pushed his wife down the stairs and killed her. Usually husbands are described as

loving and sweet, but the first sentence represents the exact opposite. The sentence

shows hatred or possibly envy. The story comes to a turn where the husband

realizes that he killed his wife. He thought she just fell down the stairs and broke

her neck four years ago, but it is possible that he was sleeping walking and pushed
her down, which ultimately killed her. The dream that occurred last night has given

him revelation that he was the cause of her death.
