Does the main information come from books?

This question generates a lot of

debate because there are too many people who actually think that the most
important knowledge is located in books. However in my personal opinion, the
most important information comes from the application of this knowledge for
two reasons: the real world is not a book and the books are just a guide.

Firstly, we all know that the real world is quite different from the books,
because something which is stayed in them and which can be predicted a
certain event, when it is proved in the real life maybe it do not function as it
was expected. For example, the currency, there are a lot of strategies in books
which measure the exchange type, however normally this techniques are not
so accurate because in the real world , the currency it too variable. Therefore,
once we have applied these techniques, we can get real data from the
phenomenon which we are trying to measure, so that we can improve in these
measures.

Secondly, books are just guides, they do not represent real knowledge. They
allow us to define the phenomenon but they do not explain the phenomenon
itself. In the same example of the currency, the books formulas are just simple
references, we can not trust completely in them because in the real world the
phenomenon do not behave like this, therefore, knowledge which comes from
book just helps to develop new knowledge after the application of it, not before
because the knowledge is not accurate.

To sum up, knowledge which comes from book is not the most important
because is not so accurate in the real world and it just helps us to discover new
knowledge, but only after we have applied it.
