Aside from earning a higher grade, my academic S.M.A.R.T. goal for the 5th progress
report in _my Humanities IV_ class is _to be well prepared in finances and economics
by the time I graduate High School. With given material involved with the course I want
to learn how to budget, finance, and understand adult norms such as taxes. I know that
in the course it is planned to discover these areas of interest but I will study to
understand the given knowledge as well as research on my own time. By the end of
the semester academically I want to pass the economics course with an A to prove my
understanding of material.

Next, in 8 to 10 sentences (one very well-developed and detailed paragraph), explain how your performance in
each of the areas above have contributed to or hindered your ability to meet your goals. Also, explain how you

My goal in Humanities IV for the fall semester of this school year was to pass the class with an A. Overall, I
was successful in reaching this goal because of strengths regarding my time management skills as well as
effective use of resources such as google classroom. I succeeded primarily because of time management
skills because I would make sure to write the homework in my reminders and also check google classroom
ev. Additionally, I have sometimes made positive choices during class time such as writing down homework
or asking clarifying questions. Although I succeeded with study skills this year, I have also struggled with
engaging in the class. I have often shy away from answering questions because I feel my opinion is invalid
or incorrect. Additionally, I do not even know how to answer questions correctly. In most cases, this
engagement of answering stunts my growth within the class I need to set a growth mindset to try and be
outspoken within classroom discussion. Aside from earning a higher grade, my academic S.M.A.R.T. goal
for the 5th

the end of the semester academically I want to pass the economics course with an A to prove my
understanding of material. I will not hesitate to go to tutoring if needed to further expand ideas on economics
or catch up on work. My hope for the future is that I will be able to complete to the course and become an
expert in economics just like any good adult is. I know that adults must be effective, resourceful, and
restrictive, so it is my hope that by following this plan for Humanities IV I will be able to take one step closer
to my dream to growing up.
