GROUP LEARNING EXPERIENCE PLANNING SHEET

Student Name: Amanpreet Jassal Course Code: ECS 4070
Age Group: Toddlers Date: March 16, 2017
Learning Experience: St. Patricks Day
Programming Purpose: As children grow older, informing them about different holidays
and events is important to expand their knowledge. The best way children will understand
and learn about holidays is by involving them in a hands-on approach activity.
Objective:
Children will strengthen communication, language and literacy in receptive language
(3.1)as they listen to stories and respond to longer more complex sentences.
Children will strengthen physical development in sensory discrimination (5.3) as they
begin to identify different properties and materials. For example, the beads on the
necklace make it bumpy.
Children will enhance emotional development in autonomy as they initiate activities,
say no and mine, begin to make choices and avoid distractions.
Materials
Necklaces

Hats
Badges
