When you want to contact the police but it is less
urgent you can call 101. You can call 101 if your car has been stolen your property has been damaged you suspect drug use in your neighbourhood to give police information about a crime in your area. You can only call 101 when you are within England, wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. You should call 999 when it is an emergency such as a crime is in progress someone has done a crime and they are nearby when there is danger to life or violence is been used.
