Minimum Qualifications:

1. Masters degree in Educational Administration or related field.


2. Ten (10) year of combined teaching and administrative experience with at least three (3) of those years being a principal at the
secondary level.
3. Valid Georgia Certification in the field of Education Leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Georgia certificate in Leadership at either L-6 or L-7 level.


2. Five (5) or more years as a successful middle or high school principal.
3. Experience with Leadership Coaching.

Competencies:

Ability to work well with students, staff and parents.


High integrity, excellent character, and good professional reputation.
Ability to be regularly, predictably and reliably at work.
Must be able to perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking and sitting.
Must be able to successfully manage multiple tasks, projects and responsibilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Extensive knowledge of national, state and local issues, policies, regulations, laws, trends and programs associated with secondary
leadership and programs including curriculum and instruction.
Excellent skills in organization, writing, facilitation and communication.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Success in supervising others.
Demonstrated expertise in technology related to job responsibilities.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
