According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, the Visa required for the

occasion is a Business Visa, as the following.

This visa is given to applicants going to Indonesia for normal business


activities (including attending a conference/seminar) which do not involve
taking up employment or receiving any payments whilst in Indonesia.

The maximum length of stay is 60 days.

The following documents should be submitted with an application for a business


visa: Completed visa application forms and two coloured passport size photos plus a
valid passport (minimum validity of passport is 6 months as from the date of entry
into Indonesia) must be submitted when applying for a visa together with:

For business:

o Two supporting letters, each from the applicants firm in Thailand and
the applicants sponsor/counterpart in Indonesia setting out the reason
for the visit, details of the duration of the proposed visit, and
responsibility for accommodation/ maintenance costs.

o Evidence that the applicant has sufficient funds to maintain him/herself


during his/her stay in Indonesia (e.g. a recent Bank Statement).

To attend a conference/seminar:

o A Letter from the conference host setting out details, including the
nature, duration and programme of the conference/seminar.

o Evidence that the applicant has sufficient funds to maintain him/herself


during his/her stay in Indonesia (e.g. a recent Bank Statement).

to presented during the conference.

VISA FREE

Tourists holding passport from the following 45 countries and territories are eligible to
enter and remain in Indonesia without a visa for 30 days. The visa free facility does
not allow the change into other permits or visa extension. See under rules for
different rules that apply regarding the port of entry and purpose of stay depending
on the nationality of the visitor.

VISA ON ARRIVAL (VOA)

Nationals of the following 33 countries may apply for a Visa on Arrival for a length of
stay of 30 days by paying US$35 at major entry points.

VISA BEFORE ARRIVAL

Nationals who are not eligible for visa free or VOA need to apply the visa at an
Indonesian embassy or consulate. Nationals of San Marino require visa at all times
including for transit. Otherwise other nationalities can transit through Indonesian
airports for up to 8 hours. Nationals of Afghanistan, Cameroon, Guinea, Iraq,
Israel, Liberia, Niger, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, and Somalia require an
approval from Immigration Office in Indonesia before travelling for Business, Tourist
and Social Visits purposes. This policy is called Indonesian Calling Visa.
