Interfacing a SICES controller to the PC by USB

interface may require a driver installation.

Driver is not automatically installed when BoardPrg3

or others SICES software are installed.

A manual procedure is requested.

The driver can be downloaded from the SICES website or
from:
http://www.sicesbrasil.com.br/produtos/download/software.html

It can work with Windows XP, Vista, Win7 and Win8

Windows 10 users do not need to install any USB driver to
make working communication via USB to SICES controllers.

They have only to verify that they are using SICES software
not older than February 2016.

(in some situations older SW can still works)

For XP, Vista and Win7, save the downloaded file and unzip
it. Fetch the driver file (.inf), right click on the icon and select
install (require administrator rights)

CAUTION: file .inf must be installed from the operating

system local drive (C:).

Special procedure for windows 8.x users

In order to install in Win8 system, it is required to remove the

Win8 driver signature enforcement, since the driver is
supplied without certificate.

In order to enable installation of the drive, type the following inside the
command window:
shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
Then, computer is restarted

A blue screen will be shown. Select Troubleshoot

From the following screen, select Advanced options

 And then Start-up Settings

 Then press RESTART

And, after restart, select function 7

Now the system start normally but enabling the possibility to
install driver without certificate.
The remaining part of installation is the same of that used for
Win7 and XP.

On the next following start-up, certificate signature protection

is reestablished, but installed driver work properly.
