Senator Rob Bradley (R-Fleming Island) will announce a $41 million project to help meet future
regional water supply needs in north Florida, improve water levels in the Alligator Creek system
and Keystone Heights lakes, and contribute to minimum flows and levels recovery in the Lower
Santa Fe Basin. The initiative will be included in Senate Bill 234, a bill filed by Senator Bradley
appropriating funds to certain projects related to the St. Johns River and its tributaries or the
Keystone Lake Region. Representative Bobby Payne (R-Palatka), who has filed the bill in the
House, and State Representative Travis Cummings (R-Orange Park) will also be in attendance at
the event, as will officials from Clay County and the City of Keystone Heights.
