This letter is regarding the decision by John McDonald, Coordinator of Street Permits, Public Way
Permit Division, Division of Infrastructure Management of the Chicago Department of
Transportation dated March 15, 2017 to deny our Public Assembly permit application submitted to
the City of Chicago on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Both documents are enclosed for your convenience.

Please consider this letter to be our formal notice of appeal of the Mr. McDonalds denial to the
Department of Administrative Hearings, pursuant to Section 10-8-334 of the Chicago Municipal
Code, Subsection (c) (1) (The Act). Pursuant to the Act, we request that an appeals hearing be
scheduled by the Department of Administrative Hearings.
