INNOVATION FOR POVERTY ACTION

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to apply for a job with J-PAL. I know about some works that J-PAL is doing
across the world and the mission of the lab inspire me to search new alternatives
against the poverty, those jobs are very attractive for me because I focused my
academic formation to help my continent on the way of an economic and social
development.
I just obtained my masters degree at the Universit Paris-Dauphine in Sustainable
Development and Corporate Social Responsibility, after my bachelors degree in
Economics and my experience in the working group, I have a comprehensive
background for most of the J-PAL projects. My work as volunteer with different age
cohorts and the academic exchanges in Europe and Asia with different cultures,
make me able to work with different social issues in different languages with
excellent performance. I feel that J-PAL Lab can teach me skills, techniques and
values to be a better professional no matter which country.
Upon graduating, I hope to work in an organization dedicated to develop projects for
the regional development, and if is not possible to work directly in Colombia, I will be
glad to work in another country. With the right opportunities and experience I
believe I can achieve this goal. I hope to with your organizations help.
I previously had two internships, one of them in 2014 at Banco Caja Social in
Colombia, a bank dedicated to give services to low-income customers, I worked with
the savings division and with them I produced some reports to make comparative
analyzes between the banks, I learned different ways to analyze financial market in
Colombia and I coordinated a campaign to give financial education to children of
small cities in Colombia. The second one was in February-March 2016 at Gayatri
Seva Sansthan, a NGO dedicated to support marginal and small farmers in
Rajasthan, India through some projects of organic and traditional cultivation,
livelihood projects and women empowerment. With my boss I worked to develop a
global expansion strategy for the brand Grealth Fresh charged to sell organic fruits
and vegetables produced by the farmers, also I managed social networks.
