Terms
Formula- a fixed form of words, especially one used in particular contexts or as a
conventional usage.

A sequence of values, cell references, names, functions, or operators in a cell that


together produce a new value. A formula always begins with an equal sign (=).

The formula that we used was very beneficial in making the cake.

Column- a section of a newspaper or magazine regularly devoted to a particular


subject or written by a particular person.
Columns are the vertical divisions of a worksheet that are identified by letters.

The column on fruit was very interesting

Workbook -a student's book containing instruction and exercises relating to a


particular subject.

A spreadsheet program file that you create in Excel. A workbook contains worksheets
of rows and columns in which you can enter and calculate data
