Topic: Is your personality shaped by genetic characteristics

or by environmental factors?

Our personality is a blend of characteristics we have inherited from our

family and we have also formed through our upbringing.

In my case, shyness is a characteristic of mine that I think it is

inherited, because not only my mother but also my sister has the same
characteristic. Another important factor that makes me believe this is
that although from a young age I socialized with a lot of people,
especially friends of my family, I always felt very embarrassed when I
was with them. In addition, I have to say that I dont face this problem
when I am with my friends but only when I meet new people.

Another characteristic of mine that is inherited is my aptitude to

drawing. Without ever having attended art lessons I won the local art
competition and a famous editor offered me a job as a cartoonist in his
newspaper. Because of that I believe that it is an innate talent.

As for my love for outdoor activities I think that it has to do with my

upbringing. And thats because when I was a little child my family
would organize excursions and trips in which I met different cultures
and I learnt new things. Im sure that if it hadnt been for my
upbringing I wouldnt be a worshiper of fun.

All things considered my opinion is that our characteristics are

combination of both inherited characteristics and those ones that have
been formed through our upbringing.
