and for third parties is June 14. There may be other
candidates after those deadlines that also have to be
surveyed. In fairness to them, we will not post surveys by
Independent and third party candidates until after the
deadlines and they have had ample time to respond. All of
the results will be posted before the general election.

that ensures Members of Congress have at least 72 hours
to read any bill before it is allowed to come to the House
floor? When have you ever seen a bill on the House floor of

Stuart Bain For the record: if it came down to a vote on

making 72 hours the length for all bills, I would vote yes.
I'd rather have some period than none, even if it meant
having to wait just to rename a building. I don't like the
false alternative fallacy of implying that it's "72 or none" on
all legislation; but I would rather err on the side of
accountability, transparency, and liberty.

Regarding 72 hours for all bills, we don't aim to get into

the semantics regarding a one-page bill vs a 2000 page
bill and get into drafting a piece of legislation with
different time lines for varying size...
