The teacher called the students to come to the front of the room and bring
their integrated studies notebooks and textbooks
The teacher introduced the topic of culture and asked questions about what
culture meant and what it meant to them
o She also asked them what holidays they celebrated that are not
normally celebrated by other people
After the lesson, which was just a quick overview since the time for social
studies was only 45 minutes, the students were told to read the chapter and
answer some questions on the sides of the pages
After they finished that, they had to answer some review questions at the end
of the chapter
o They were short answer and multiple choice
If the students got a question wrong, the teacher marked it and told the
student to go and fix it to get the right answer
