Description of the artifact and how it meets the standard and criteria:

The artifact that I chose to include to demonstrate my competency in standard 3D is a

copy of a lesson plan used during a geography lesson over maps. The lesson plan
meets the standard because it shows the different strategies used throughout the
lesson to engage students. Students begin by working on their own, then they work
with a partner, and the lesson ends with a class discussion.

Reflection on the artifact:

This artifact shows the use of different strategies to engage students in the lesson.
Some students enjoy working on their own, some enjoy working with a partner, and
some enjoy having classroom discussions, and this lesson hits all of those types. I
found that this lesson engages the students because they have to be when
collaborating with a partner.
