Screenshots of Editing Process

The first thing I did in the editing was the beginning scene, with the start of church bells
quite loud, and then a heavy door opening. As the doors open, the sound of a crowd talking
fades in, and then footsteps are walking through the church.

The footsteps slow down and stop, then the priest says thank you to someone whos just been at the
ceremony. Then the main character, Carl, say Hi, I would like to make a confession, please and the
priests replies and they start walking away.
They walk away from the crowd, which slowly fades out, and then they get to the confessional
where the priest opens with a key, and they go inside. Carl, the main character start the confession
by saying Forgive me father for I have sinned, and then the confession starts.

I then added in a background music tone as the confession starts to become more tense.
Then at the end of the confession, when Carl, the main character, finishes talking about is crimes,
the priest excuses himself, and leaves the confession/ pauses it. You hear the key opening the
confession door and footsteps walking through the church. A door then opens and the priest is then
in an office where he picks up his phone and dials 9-1-1.

I then edited the conversation between the priest and the police officer, and the ending, where the
priest goes back to the confessional after he made the call, where he finishes the confession.
Afterwards, as Carl says his last bit of the prayer, you start to hear police sirens that fade in, and
some music at the ending, to go into the credits.
I then added in the image/ title for the drama, Saints and Sinners as the thumbnail.

After this, I put in some ambience so that there isnt any cut between ambience from when I
recorded the drama
Nearing the end of finishing the editing my radio drama, I realised the music that is in the
background throughout the drama cuts, and I couldnt continue it on the same sound row when
editing. So I then had to put it lower down on a different row.

After finishing editing, I received some feedback where it suggested that I have something else in the
background than just background music, so I added in some sounds of prayers and crowd chatter.
