Creative Project Assignments

Choose one of the creative projects below to complete.
Each project will be worth 25 points.

1. Draw a scene from the book: Choose on of the most important scenes from the
book, and draw a picture of it on a blank piece of paper. Be sure to add lots of detail
and color your picture! Then write a description of the picture and explain why it is
important to the story. Your description should be at least page, double-spaced.

2. Newspaper article: Write an article that could be published in a newspaper,
announcing the results of the final battle and introducing the land of Narnia to its
new kings and queens. Be sure to give lots of description of the battle and a detailed
description of King Peter, King Edmund, Queen Susan, and Queen Lucy. This should
be at least one page, and done in the format of a newsletter (using Pages).

3. Write a poem: Write a poem from the perspective of Mr. Tumnus. Your poem
should reflect Mr. Tumnuss experiences throughout the story, and it should
compare and contrast life in Narnia during the reign of the White Witch and how it
changed when the four thrones at Cair Paravel were filled. Your poem does not
need to rhyme, but it should be at least one page, double-spaced.

4. Film an interview: Write out a script of an interview between yourself and one
of the characters in the story. Make sure your questions are interesting and relate
to the story, and make sure the responses match what the character might say in
real life! Find a classmate or friend who is willing to act, and film the interview. The
final video should be at least 3 minutes long.

5. Letter to the author: Write a letter to C.S. Lewis, the author of this book. Let him
know what you thought about the book, how it changed your perspective on
Christianity (if it did), and what you still do not fully understand. Be respectful, but
you may ask questions as well. Your final letter should be at least one page, double-
spaced.
