GALT COMMUNITY of CHARACTER COALITION

Perhaps you know someone who deserves recognition for setting a good example in our community. This month, we are looking for
those who exemplify the character trait Pride in Community.

Pride in Community was one of the six character traits selected by the Galt community through surveys and questionnaires in 2007 as
values to be promoted to make our community stronger. It is the mission of the Galt Community of Character Coalition to promote these
community values each month. The Character Coalition strives to create a community culture based on values, goodwill and accepted
character traits by motivating individuals, families and organizations to take responsibility for their choices and actions, to make a difference
in the community, and to display and recognize good character.

The Coalition is a regularly using public meetings of school boards and city council to recognize and honor individuals and groups in our
community displaying good character. For July and August, we are soliciting nominations for individuals or groups displaying the character
trait of Pride in Community. Pride in Community is recognized in those whose actions might include the following:
• Participating in events and leading efforts that promote our community;
• Appreciating and celebrating diversity; and/or
• Keeping our community safe, clean and together.

Please take a moment to nominate a deserving organization or community member whose actions help make Galt a great community.
