5.4 Performance
Kill & Choke manifold working pressure rating: Range I 345 bar, Range II 690 bar
5.5 Regularity
The system shall be designed for sour service (i.e. H2S/CO2) and all types of mud.
The kill & choke manifold shall be operable from both the kill & choke manifold locally and the
drillers cabin.
Operation of the remote control chokes shall at least indicate the drillstring pressure,
the choke manifold pressure, volume pumped, as well as the drillstring fluid pump
rate.
In the case of manually operation, the drillstring pressure and the choke manifold
pressure shall be displayed.
Lines/hoses between the blowout preventer stack and the choke manifold shall,
together with their connections and valves on the high pressure side of the choke
manifold, have at least the same working pressure as the blowout preventer stack.
The system shall be designed for frequent testing and inspection. Testing and
inspection shall not cause abnormal wear.
The kill and Choke Manifold shall be designed so as to allow formation fluid to be
conducted to the choke manifold by way of two independent piping system.
