To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure and honor that I am writing this letter of recommendation
for Sarahi Mora. In the past four years, I have gotten to know and worked closely with
Sarahi. I previously taught Sarahi for my CAHSEE Prep and AVID/seminar courses since
her sophomore year. Since then, I have worked closely with Sarahi in three
extracurricular programs: Political Club, a debate club and program for our students, The
College Initiative, a college and career prep initiative, and Fashion Club. Based on my
experience working with Sarahi, I can describe her as a creative, determined, and
devoted individual who has the capabilities, passion and skills required to be successful
in the 21st century.
Since meeting Sarahi, I have witnessed her determination to fulfill and accomplish
her dreams and goals. Since ninth grade, she has gotten awards recognizing her work
habits and outstanding citizenship. While working closely with Sarahi during her
sophomore year, she stood out as someone who was filled with passionate and hopes for
success. During 10th grade, I recognized her as the Family Student of the Year recipient
due to her improvement in her work and character. In 11th grade, she received honor roll
certificates honoring her high GPA. Academically, Sarahi has managed to keep a GPA
above a 3.0 due to her diligence, hard work, and persistence in her work. I have
witnessed her working hours after school to show honor and pride in her work. This is
something that is rarely seen in students her age; she has the maturity to comprehend
how important an education is to ones future goals and aspirations.
Sarahi has demonstrated her commitment and leadership to her passions. Since
her sophomore year, she has been involved in community service, extracurricular
activities, and paid-work. This shows that organizations have entrusted their faith in
Sarahis ability to represent their mission and goals. She has volunteered tirelessly at our
school and at our local New Song Church; she has helped set up equipment for free
classes members of our community take on a weekly basis. During her junior year, she
served as the Vice-President for our Family club; she helped lead meetings surround our
school events such as Multicultural Day, Drug Free Awareness and Spirit Week activities.
In addition, Sarahi has been involved in Political Club and Fashion Club at our school.
Finally, Sarahi has managed to work at two jobs while still being involved in school
activities. She works for UCI Cleaning and Kentucky Fried Chicken; here she has used her
interpersonal, communicative and collaborative skills while working as a team member
at these organizations.
The academics at NOVA Academy Early College High School encourage students to
master all their coursework material. Despite these high standards, Sarahi has been
successful and has prioritized her education to earn her high school diploma and earn
college credit. I am immensely proud to have been her teacher and mentor and I am
