It is with great pleasure that I write a letter of recommendation for Kevin Pineda. Mr. Pineda has
been faithfully volunteering at the Mix every Wednesday since November 2015. He is
responsible, driven, dependable, hard-working and proactive.

Upon graduating from NOVA Academy, Kevin plans to attend college to receive his bachelors
degree and then medical school with the hopes of obtaining a career as a doctor. I am very
confident that he will be successful in achieving his goals.

This young man is tenacious about his studies and is also very involved in community activities.
He has been a dedicated volunteer and student leader at the Mix, a program that provides meals
and classes for the community. Mr. Pineda has been instrumental in organizing other volunteers
and engaging them with communities of varied ethnic, socio-economic, and generation
backgrounds. He has also gone above and beyond and assisted the community with other
activities, such as participating in a trash pick-up at Seal Beach, to help preserve the beach and its
wildlife. He has also participated as an ambassador for NOVA Academy and currently has a job at
McDonalds.

It is without reservation that I recommend Mr. Pineda for graduation. He has proven that he is a
well-rounded individual: academics, extra-curricular activities and leadership proven through his
own hard work. I am confident that he will not let you down.
