Temi Kalejaiye THE FALLEN MOB

FADE IN FROM UNIVERSAL PICTURES

Las Vegas- Day

It is daytime and so a bright and blue sky, about one
oclock, the sun has fully risen streaming down light on
a blue-coloured truck moving on an empty deserted road. A
birds eye view shows the truck driving at a speed of 40
miles per hour. Theyre on a major highway and slowly
comes to a stop for one minute at the traffic light
intersecting a four way junction.
CUT TO:
INT. TRUCK- DAY
There is a small brown window on the side of the truck.
High angle shot shows a group of about ten young girls in
their late teens are shown sat in a corner. No one is
speaking, therefore silence encroaches the truck the
expression on the girl's face shows fear and fright but
not confusion
CUT TO:
THE WAREHOUSE
The truck approaches a massive warehouse. It looks
slightly worn out. It is quite mundane and banal, but a
mid shot of a beautiful tall and thin woman, with long
blonde curls is stood at the side of the building. Her
hand is stretched out proudly and confidently directing
the driver. She is wearing a black dress, stopping
slightly above her knees with a white jacket and black
heels.
FADE IN:
As the truck comes to a stop, the metal doors at the back
of the truck open. A high angle shot show the girls walk
down sluggishly and slowly and acknowledge the presence
of Ashley with a short nod. They all stand in a straight
line
CUT TO:
Still in the warehouse, the girls stand in the line;
Ashley assesses each one of them. Ashley assesses each of
them. Each girl fearfully steps forward and Ashley sizes
them up taking in accounts their natural beauty and
instruct them on actions to aid her judgement. A zoom
shows Ashley forcefully grabbing one of the girls necks
and pulling her forward, shouting at her because of her
refusal to turn.
FADE IN:
The girls walk up the stairs to the colourless and dreary
common room. They all look afraid, as they do not know
where they are going and fighting for their future. As we
enter the extensive room, there are small but windows
with long benches. There are about 30 girls: ten on each
bench, all sat forward facing staring at the world
outside the window.
CUT TO:

INT. JACKSONS OFFICE - DAY

Jacksons office is at the very top of the warehouse.
There are long glass windows completely covering one side
of the wall, Jackson stands tall, looking at the whole
city through the windows. Its a large office with a wide
table in the centre and papers scattered all over. The
whole place is silent.

Ashley walks up the large and long stairs to Jacksons

office. Jackson turns his head slowly and back to the
windows, acknowledging her presence.

Jackson
How are they?

Ashley
Very good as I expected

Jackson
Sure?

Ashley
Dont you trust me?

Jackson
Thats not the point.

Ashley
I think it is. I am very good at my job,
despite your beliefs.

Jackson
(Subtle laugh)
Okay. Im going down.

Ashley
(In a commanding manner)
Why?

Jackson
(Shouting)
Dont you dare question me, woman.

Ashley
(Shouting back)
I deserve better. I have worked for this
position and you will be nothing without me.

Jackson
(Slaps her)
Dont you dare.
(Jackson walks out and leaves Ashley on the
floor)

Tracking shot of Jackson leaving.

CUT TO:
Ashley crouched down on the floor. Soft piano
instrumental play as non diegetic sound. She starts
thinking about all the challenges Jackson has put her
through. She turns around, looking up at the ceiling with
tears rolling down the sides of her eyes. Over the
shoulder shot as she turns showing the ceiling, then a
bird's eye view shot of her. Music gets louder. Zoom in
on her face, as tears roll down the side of her face.
FADE IN:
EXT. THE BALCONY - DAY
Tilt shows Ashley getting up and going to the balcony of
Jacksons office. She gazes deeply at the city and wipes
away her tears. Standing upright and adjusting her
garments. The expression on her face is serious and looks
ready for a fight

Ashley:
(To herself)
Im taking over
CUT TO:
Ashley returns to the floor at the corner of Jacksons
office. She sits there for a couple of minutes
contemplating her next actions, but decides to do it
anyway. She brings up her phone from her trousers and
dials this unknown man.
CUT TO:
There is a man in another office in a completely separate
place to the company. We do not see this mans face but
from his stature, he is quite muscular and handsome. The
sounds of typing and the ruffling of papers are heard.
The phone rings, he glances at the caller ID, hesitates
but then answers.

Ashley:
(In a low voice)
You took your time in answering.

Man:
Well, I am a busy man.
Ashley:
(pretends to be crying)
I cant take this anymore. You have to come and
save me. Im done with this.

Man:
Baby, dont cry. We can push through this. Im
still working on the plan.

Ashley:
Forget the plan, James. We need to start now.
Hes grown too big. We need to bring him down.
(Shouting angrily)
We need to start now.

MAN (JAMES):
Fine.
(Sighs)
Lets meet tonight at the usual spot.
CUT TO:
Ashley still sat on the floor, laughs mischievously and
very loudly. She then quickly stops so no one would hear
her and smiles to her self. Ashley gets up from the floor
and walks over to the glass windows where Jackson was
stood at earlier on. She lays her on the window pane and
her shadow can be seen on the floor. Ashley stands there
and laughs at the world.
