GROUP No.
In this experiment my partner and I were asked to count the number of colors of each
M&M and create a table with each amount and its color. The method we used to sort was by its
color and once sorted we counted the candies. The color distribution was very uneven we had 11
red, 17 oranges,1 yellow, 14 green, 11 blue, and 2 brown. We were somewhat in the middle of
other groups amounts we even shared the same amounts at times. It is best to use a chart that will
fit your needs the most, the best choice for this was a pie graph because you were able to tell which
color had the most with its percent and which color had the least for each group. Using more than
one bag of candy you can find an average amount in which you could predict the amount of colored
candies in each bag. You can compare this project with another class and you would never get the
same result because every bag of M&Ms is different. In summery M&M color distribution is not
predictable and each bag will have a different number of candies in a bag. Finally, the colors, I
believe, are sorted by random because your numbers greatly vary such as how we had 1 yellow but
then we had 17 orange.
