Procedure:

1. The liquid are pipetted accordingly based on table 2 into screwed test tubes.
The test tubes are labelled accordingly.
2. The tubes are placed in a water bath of 35c for 45 minutes and kept away
from the light.
3. The absorbance of the cells are measured at 505nm against the water blank.
4. The alpha amylase reading is subtracted from the sample reading.
5. The amount of glucose in the samples is obtained by comparison to the
standard curve.
6. The amount of glucose in the samples are multiplied by 0.9 to give an
indication of starch in the samples.

1. Starch
2. Anhydrous glucose
3. Alpha amylase
4. Amylogucosidase
5. AMA buffer
6. Glucose oxidase
7. Glucose oxidase-peroxide agent (GOP)
