Subject: School Library Media Program Evaluation

Mrs. Pabon and I completed an evaluation of the Tussahaw Elementary

library media program. The rubric has six categories. Category one is

focused on student achievement and instruction. Category two is

focused on technology in the media center. Category three includes

criteria on staffing. Category four assesses facilities, access, and

resources. Category 5 is focused on administrative support. Lastly,

category six is focused on staff development. The levels of proficiency

are basic, proficient, and exemplary.

After evaluating, we found to have nine areas that were rated basic.

There eight areas rated as proficient. Lastly, there are five areas rated

as exemplary. We have developed action steps to move the basic

categories into proficient. We also chose one area to move from

proficient to exemplary and the action steps intended to help.

Please review the attached rubric as well as the action plan to improve

our media center.
