REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2012-186

AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING THE ROUTE OF OPERATION OF
SHUTTLE VANS WITH FRANCHISE ROUTES SAVANNAH-
MANDURRIAO-MOLO PLAZA, SAVANNAH-MANDURRIAO-PLAZA
LIBERTAD AND SAVANNAH-MANDURRIAO-SM JARO

Sponsored by Councilor R Leone N. Gerochi, duly seconded by

Councilors Rodel F. Agado and Lyndon V. Acap

WHEREAS, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) issued
a franchise in favor of Metro Express Connect, Inc. for the operation of L300 shuttle vans for the
exclusive use of the Savannah residents plying the route Savannah-Mandurriao-Molo Plaza,
Savannah-Mandurriao-Plaza Libertad and Savannah-Mandurriao-SM Jaro;

WHEREAS, to properly monitor the operation of the said shuttle vans and ensure that the
drivers and operators of the same are faithfully complying with the guidelines set by the LTFRB
and the Iloilo City Government and likewise to minimize the adverse effects on the existing
operationlc utility jeepneys plying the same route, there is a proposal from the
Reg. Ord. No. 2012-186. Apr. 25, 2012 Page2

Transportation Management and Traffic Regulation Office (TMTRO) to fix and designate the
route of operation of the said shuttle vans.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of

Iloilo, in session assembled, that:

Section 1. - The shuttle vans with franchise Savannah-Mandurriao-Molo Plaza shall ply
the route from Savannah going to Molo Plaza shall pass Ribao-an Norte-Ribao-an Sur, Guzman
Street, R. Mapa Street, Tabucan, Carpenter's Bridge, Locsin Street, Molo Plaza. In going back,
shall pass Locsin Street, Carpenter's Bridge, Tabucan, R. Mapa Street, right to De Leon Street,
left to Rizal Street to Guzman Street towards Savannah;

Section 2. - The shuttle vans with franchise Savannah-Mandurriao-Plaza Libertad shall

ply the route from Savannah going to City Proper shall pass Ribao-an Norte, Hibao-an Sur,
Guzman Street, R. Mapa Street, left to Tabucan San Rafael road, right to Benigno Aquino
Avenue, left to Gen. Luna Street towards Arroyo Fountain, right to F. Caram Avenue, left to
J.M. Basa Street towards Plaza Libertad. In going back, shall pass Rizal Street, right to Mabini
Street, left to Gen. Luna Street, right to Benigno Aquino Avenue, left to San Rafael-Tabucan
Road, right to R. Mapa Street, right to De Leon Street, left to Rizal Street to Guzman Street
towards Savannah;

Section 3. -The shuttle vans with franchise Savannah-Mandurriao-SM Jaro shall play the
route Savannah going to SM Jaro shall pass Ribao-an Norte, Hibao-an Sur, Guzman Street, left
to De Leon Street, right to Q. Abeto Street, left to Airport Spur Road, right to Benigno Aquino
Avenue, left to El 98 Street, Jaro Big Market to SM Jaro. In going back, shall pass El 98 Street,
right to Benigno Aquino Avenue, left to Airport Spur Road, right to Q. Abeto Street, right to
Rizal Street, to Guzman Street towards Savannah;

Section 4. -The subject shuttle vans are prohibited from picking up passengers along the
way;

Section 5. - The subject shuttle vans when transporting Savannah passengers from Molo
Plaza, Plaza Libertad and SM Jaro to Savannah shall be prohibited from dropping off passengers
along the way;

Section 6. - Violations of this ordinance shall be penalized with a fine of Five Hundred
Pesos (P500.00);

Section 7 - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
