Technical description:
Different workpieces are pneumatically loaded out of a magazine. By using optical, capacitive and inductive
sensors, material recognition is done by a sensor unit on the adapter plate between the technology stations. Then
the workpieces are stored in the Technology Station Loading and Handling according to the same materials.
The Technology Stations are mounted on a mobile underframe. The use is done via a control panel.
The technology stations are controlled by a siemens PLC.
The installation is completely wired and delivered with a PLC-program. This control program reproduces the
complete function of the installation in automatic mode. Further Technology Stations can be added by a later point
of time.

Technical description:

Technical description:
Workpieces with 30 mm diameter made of different material (aluminium, plastic black, plastic white) and with a
height of approximately 20 mm are loaded from the Technology Station Loading and Handling.
Sensors in the Station define the properties of the material. A swivel gripper deposits the pieces on the
Technologiestaton Rotary Table. The Rotary Table transport the workpieces to the technology station Boring and
Handling. Here the workpieces are bored. After boring the workpieces are transported to the Technology Station
Measuring and Handling. A pneumatic linear cylinder transports the workpieces to an analog sensor. The seize
of tension is a means of dimension of the depth of the boring process. Workpieces that do not have adequate
boring depth are lead to a container.
Workpieces that correspond to the desired boring depth are transported to the Technology Station Storing and
Handling. Then they are stored according to their types of material.
Further technical processes can be processed by changing the positions of the Technology Stations at the
Rotary Table.

Technical description:
Workpieces (30 mm diameter) of different material (aluminum, plastic black, plastic white) and of different height

The Technology Station Transports carrys the workpieces to the Technology Station Measuring and Handling. A
pneumatic linear cylinder transports the workpieces to an analog sensor. The size of tension is a method to measure
the height of the workpiece. Workpieces with a height over 20 mm or under 20 mm are selected out and thrown in
special container. The shuttle moves and takes the shortest way back (inner circle of transport system) in order to load
a new workpieces. Those who are in tolerance are removed to the shuttle. The switches of the transport system are
set in a way so that the shuttle is led to the Technology Station Testing and Handling on the outer circle (bypass). In the
Technology Station Testing and Handling the material determination is done by an optic, a capacitive and a inductive
sensor. In the station storage and handling the workpieces will be stored according to the same material.
The Transport station is mounted on a stable underframe. The shuttles are runnig by independen DC-motors with
identifications system. The sation is controlled by AS-i bus.
Further technical processes can be processed by changing the positions of the Technology Stations Transport.
Instead of using a transport system you also connect two technology stations with a Adapter plate. Furthermore, each
Technology Station can be used independently.
The installation is completely wired and delivered with an PLC program. This control program reproduces the

Technical description:
Tooth wheels (plastic, steel and brass, 30 mm diameter, 10 mm height) are loaded from a high storage shelf to the process
with and without connector via electric ejector (Station Loading)
In the Technology Station Checking the material characteristic are defined by digital sensors (optical,capacitive and
inductive). A pneumatically working button recognizes tooth wheels with and without slide bearing. The tooth wheels is
transport by help of a electrical driven conveying system.
In the Technology Station Machining the tooth wheels without slide bearing. are pressed from a magazine into new slide
bearing. Connector of tooth wheels with slide bearing will be pressed out. The Technology Station Machining can be
delivered either in hydraulic or in pneumatic version.
In the Technology Station Sorting tooth wheels are sorted due to their material characteristics as well as with or without slide
bearing.
Beside the combine of all Technology Stations you can also use each seperately.
The Technology Stations are mounted on a mobile underframe. You can use it by a control panel.

Technical description:
Workpieces (plastic black and white and aluminium, 30 mm diameter, 20 mm height) are pneumatically
shifted out of a Technology Station Distributing Magazine. In the deposit postion there are digital sensors that
differentiate between plastic white and black as well as aluminium.
The Technology Station Swivel gripper transfers the workpieces to the next station.
At the Technology Station Lifting device with Measuring analog the workpiece is defined. Workpieces who
are either too small or too big are sorted out. Work peices in the tolerance field are transported to the next
station.In the Technology Station Workpiece deposit in three tracks with electric linear unit and pneumatic
ejectorstation workpieces are sorted according to similar material characteristics.
Beside the combine of all technology stations you can also use each seperately.

Technical description:
40 workpieces with max. size of 70 mm * 60 mm * 30 mm can be stored in the Technology Station Storage and
Retrieval System . A 3-axes handling system transport a plate on which the workpieces are fixed to an position
where a roboter can pick up the workpiece.
A digital camera, that is able to differentiate workpieces. Workpieces where appropriate for the CNC-milling
machines will be carry by the robot to the CNC-machines. Workpieces that are not appropriate for the CNC-
milling machines can be removed to the storage or deposited in a container
The digital camera is programmed in TEACH-IN-method.
Apart from the combine of all technology stations each Technology Stations can work independently.
The Technology Station Storage and Retrieval System and the robot are delivered on a stable underframe. The
control of the storage is realized by a siemens PLC. The use is realized by a control panel. The CNC- milling
machine is completely automatized.
The plant is completely wired and is delivered with a PLC program. This controlling program demonstrates the
function of the complete plant in automatic operation.
The robot progamming system build up the real robot in his geometry and enables the user to program the robot
online as well as offline.
The PLC progamming system is not included in the extent of supply.
It is possible to integrate a PLC other than a Siemens. In this case, the PLC program can not be delivered.

Technical desciption:
A 3-axes handling system removes workpieces out of the automatic storage and retrieval system 1 and deposits
them on the deposit plate.
A robot on a transversal axis picks up the workpieces and puts them into the CNC- turning machine. After the
shaping the workpiece is removed on a conveyor. At the end of this conveying belt the workpiece is put in a
packaging machine and packed in a paper roll with plastic caps at each end - ready for dispatch.
Apart from the combine of all technology stations with each other, each one can also work independently.
The automatic storage and retrieval system, the conveyor belt and the packaging plant are delivered on a stable
underframe. The control of the automatic storage and retrieval system and the packaging machine are done by a
siemens PLC. The use is realized by a control panel.

of the plant.
A suitable programming system for the tool machine is delivered for the CNC turning machine.
The robot programming system reproduces the robot being used in his geometry. It is possible to program the

Produktion of a set of tea lights consist of a tea light box, a tea light cap, a tea light and the packing of a tea
light
A 3-axes handling system transport the workpieces to a shuttle of the Transport System. The shuttle

The produced tea light box and tea light cap are transported to a mounting place. The mounting robot removes a
tea light from a magazine, deposits it in the tea light box. Afterwards the tea light cap is put on top of the tea light

Technical description:
As a customer you have different possibilities to combine all technology stations. Because of the greater number of
technology stations you can create tasks with a higher level of difficulty.
The technology stations are developed according to the principle, that all necessary educational objectives can be
reached in the scope of the mechatronical education.
The technology stations are constructed in a way, that they can be combined without changing of the adapter plate, the
rotary indexing table and the conveyor. The connection to the adapter plate, the rotary indexing table or the conveyor
system is realized by snapinputs systems. A specific tool is not necessary.
If you use the adapter plate as connecting element between the technology stations, you can combine two of the
technology stations.
If the rotary indexing table is used as material transport station between technology stations, the turning direction can be
contolled in two directions.
When using the conveyor system the material transport is done via a electrical shuttle that drives independently, which is
identified via codeing. The shuttles are exactly positioned at the material transfer positions 0.5 mm distanced to the
technology stations. In this way a safe material transfer can be realized.
The technology stations are mounted to a mobile underframe. The use is realized by a control panel.
The conveying system and technology stations are controlled each via a SIMATIC-S7-300. The communication between
the PLCs is realized via profibus.
The plant is delivered completely wired. Functionable control programs for the Siemens PLC are delivered for every
technology station. These control programs demonstrate the function of every technology station.
The integration of another PLC than Siemens is possible. In this case a PLC program is not delivered.
A powerful software can be delivered to the mechatronic hardware. The software shows all technology station in an
identically way. Furthermore, the user is able to use a library that is also delivered to create new stations and to develop
further tasks of higher level in order to get deeper knowledge with regard to training.
