    Static Cone Penetration Test No. SCPT-1 was conducted using a 10 cm2 mechanical cone with a 60 degree tip angle and 150 cm2 sleeve to measure cone resistance and frictional resistance up to a depth of 16 meters. The test was performed according to Indian Standard IS 4968-Part-3-1976 revised in 2007 using a 10 tonne hydraulic rig with a penetration rate of 1 cm/sec. Graphs of cone tip resistance, frictional resistance, and friction ratio versus depth are presented in Plate 1.
