History of Merced JC
In 1916 , The merced high and LeGrand districts
petitioned the state board .They wanted the state
board to approve the Merced JC .February 27, 1962 as
a date of election .The vote election was 3996 in favor
and 1494 opposite .So the school was built.

The cost per year for Merced JC is (12 units) per
semester at 208.00 per units .

Spring Semester comes out to $7,801.00

I believe this school is good because its not that far
from home and a little cheaper . Also , in 2 years I will be
able to transfer to a UC or CSU, if I like. There are many
opportunities at our JC .You might not think so but
their is .

There is no dorms on the JC .

UCLA is the best choice because of its incredible medical
centers. They made things possible. They also have a
amazing Music class that you can major in. Finally one of the
coaches led them to 7 straight NCAA. No other coach has
ever done that.
The Campus
The campus scenery is beautiful. Nice young people.
Amazing teachers. One thing that attracted me was the
medical classes that it has. Incredible capability to find things
out.
It is not mandatory for a freshman to live in the
dorms. But it is very encouraged. So that they
can get to classes faster. Also to know where the
classes are.

This campus was the 15th made. It was located
at the fairgrounds in Turlock. The vasche library
was made in memory of the Universitys founder.
Over the years Stanislaus has developed into a
major presence.
Why this school is good
UCLA is a good school because this school gives you many choices in
your career .Also It offers more opportunities as in jobs , business , and
etc . UC have different things than a JC . It you get As and Bs with a high
GPA is would say try and get into a UC .
 Campus life
Campus is perpetually in motion. Our students start and join1000+
clubs, kick-start businesses, run organizations and are deeply involved
with the community. Our fans fill the stands for some of the most storied
teams in NCAA history. And the entire student body attends events like
Bruin Bash the annual festival to kick off the new school year, which
has featured top performers like Jay-Z, T.I. and LMFAO. It's just the
opening act of an unforgettable UCLA experience.
