The platform-specific compiler requirements for Creo Elements/Pro TOOLKIT and VB API
follow:
Creo Elements/Pro TOOLKIT is supported on all Creo Elements/Pro platforms and is available
on the standard Creo Elements/Pro DVD-ROM. Creo Elements/Pro TOOLKIT requires a valid
platform for running Creo Elements/Pro. See

VB API is supported on Windows only.

PTC provides the makefiles that are used to build applications for regression test purposes.
These makefiles can be found in the <creo_loadpoint>/protoolkit/<machine>/obj
directory. It is recommended that these makefiles be used as templates to produce quality
applications.

Platform Compiler Description

Microsoft Windows XP/Vista for 32 or 64-bit Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2008

Note: Creo Elements/Pro TOOLKIT spawn

and asynchronous mode applications
compiled on a Microsoft Windows 32-bit
machine will run with Creo Elements/Pro built
for a Microsoft Windows 64-bit platform. DLL
mode applications must be compiled with the
64-bit compiler to run with a 64-bit Creo
Elements/Pro installation.

Note: on Windows Vista and Windows 7, the

application code, as well as makefiles
provided by PTC for Windows XP, may need
modifications. Please refer to the Microsoft
help for more information on what code or
makefile modifications may be necessary.
